Fun times in Austin

While we were in Austin, TD did a lesson on snakes for our nephew J's science class. TD's friend T brought lots of snakes - which the kids loved.

We also caught James McMurtry (my favorite) at Shady Grove. Hooray for Austin and Unplugged at the Grove!

We also had a fun canoe trip up Barton Creek and on Town Lake - but no pictures of that...

Farmer's Market bounty

I continue to be amazed by the bounty at the farmer's market here (and the very cheap prices). This is what TD and I will be eating this week. Tomatoes and Zukes (there are 3) were $1 each, 7 ears of corn for $2 and $3 for the watermelon. You can see why I have no motivation to start a veggie garden.

Prairie goes for a swim!

Prairie LOVED hanging out with her cousins Scout the Lab and Bo the Golden. Most mornings that we were in town, we took the dogs down for a romp to the dog park. Austin has an amazing dog park right on the lake - perfect for dog swimming.
